Collaboratively in a multi-vendor environment with Partners and Service Providers, identify and troubleshoot system software and hardware problems: HP Enterprise Services & CISCO Switches and Routers and All other providers of hardware. 

Proactively address Network, Storage, Backup, or System Performance issues.

Core Functions 

• Possesses a broad knowledge base with a focus on strategic technologies including Microsoft Windows Server technologies, HP, Dell, and IBM servers, VMware technologies, and Storage technologies.

• Strong knowledge with hands-on expertise in Virtualization.

• Participate in overall server group planning, bringing a current knowledge and future vision of technology and systems.

• Responsible for designing and delivering solutions that are fault-tolerant, flexible, and scalable to support our development, Test, and Production environments.

• Expert knowledge of and experience with enterprise-scale technologies such as Windows technologies including Server platforms, Desktop platforms, Exchange Environments, Active Directory, IIS, Windows Clustering, Hyper-V, VMware Virtualization, and CA monitoring.

• Expert knowledge in the Design and Implementation of Proactive Monitoring and Management processes for all responsible environments.

• Expert knowledge in Developing, Planning, and executing DR procedures for all responsible environments.

• Experience troubleshooting systems running Windows Server and SQL Server.

• Experience maintaining Active Directory topology and configuring Group Policy Object management.

• Experience with Windows Cluster Service and supporting Windows clusters on both physical and VMware environments.

• Experience using scripting tools such as Power Shell and other tools to support systems activities such as backup, restore, file transfer, and other similar support activities.

• Restore data and re-configure systems when required.

• Experience with VMware ESXi virtualization infrastructure and maintain documentation of the virtual infrastructure.

• Schedule performance of server maintenance actions during non-duty hours. Be on “pager duty” to react to service alerts and resolve all service alerts 24x7.

• Evaluate systems and ensure security (Antivirus) requirements are met.
