Background


 The scope of this position is to facilitate World Learning and READ Foundation in execution of in-service professional development activities at CTCs/ Regional level that includes Face to Face trainings, TIG meetings and School Support visits, need based Condensed Trainings and reporting of completed activities.


 Purpose


This SOW outlines the tasks and deliverables currently anticipated by the parties during the SOW Term. The parties agree that World Learning and READ Foundation may assign tasks and deliverables within the framework of the Pakistan Reading Project according to the capabilities engaged hereunder.


Description of Activities/Work Performed by Consultant


  Services to be Provided Generally:


At the direction of the World Learning or her designee, Consultant shall provide services to assist Regional Offices/ CTCs Teams to facilitate in-services professional development activities. In case of the changing nature of the Pakistan Reading Project, the parties understand that the tasks assigned, the priorities of the consultant, and the deliverables, shall change as directed by the World Learning or her designee.  For each assignment provided by the World Learning or her designee, Consultant shall provide a good faith estimate of the time and schedule to complete the assignment, the inputs and assistance required from World Learning team, and shall provide a consolidated progress report for all assignments on a monthly basis (or as otherwise directed by World learning), and such other reporting as World Learning requests


          Activities to be Supported                     


-                           Face to face trainings task completion (second phase)


                Ensure that TIG meetings/ QTIG are being conducted by respective CTCs well in time.


-          Ensure that School Support Visits are conducted regularly as agreed in MOU of WL and RF


-          Coordinate with WL and READ Foundation and ensure RLM Distribution to CTC and further to schools


-          Ensure that Reading Learning material is timely distributed by concerned CTCs and each trained teacher has complete package of RLM.


-          Quality assurance of PRP material (DRLP etc.) at schools level.


-          Ensure that Students progress assessment is being practice regularly by RF field staff.


-          Sharing the findings of Students progress assessment with feedback along with course of correction.


-          Ensure that RF activities and progress is aligned with PRP Annual Work plan/ LOP


-          , Review/ verification of documents/ MOVs before submission to M&E section of WL and submission for financial settlement.


-          Collection of Best Practices, Success stories from Concerned CTCs and share with World Learning to highlight intervention impact at field level.


-          Reporting of project activities on weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually bases (both quantitate and qualitative Aspect of the activities/ intervention.


Progress Reporting and Communications


 


-          Consultant shall provide electronic/hard copies, monthly reports in a form and with contents provided by World Learning. The reports shall track each assignment separately and identify delays, challenges and completed milestones for each assignment, and shall identify any problems or concerns consultant believes should be documented. 


-          Consultant shall provide a report outlining key activities and tasks performed by the consultant and days of work associated to complete the tasks on the timesheet.  Days of work will be tracked on Time Sheet.


-          World Learning will endeavor to provide consultant prior notice (e.g., at the beginning of the Month, beginning of a specific activity or task, etc...) and the level of detail required.


-          Additional reports shall be provided by Consultant as requested by World Learning from time to time.


-          All Reports shall be submitted to Project Coordinator / RF Officer with time sheet.


d.       Performance Criteria and Final Acceptance


-          Deliverables must be delivered timely, comprehensively and professionally.


-          Technical Manager shall be responsible for reviewing and approving invoices, which shall be provided in accordance with this SOW, Technical Manager shall submit the request of monthly payment with supporting of Invoice, activity completion report and timesheet.


-          Upon acceptance of aforementioned document payment shall be processed within 10 working days.


-          Consultant shall establish a quality assurance process for the World Learning / PRP that makes use of standard templates, the development of a document / requirements as per WL standards. 


-          For any deliverable rejected by World Learning, Consultant shall modify the deliverable appropriately to achieve deliverable acceptance within given days of rejection.


 


e.       Non-Performance and Rejection


 


Consultant shall be excused for a failure or delay in performance of obligations under this SOW to extent non-performance is caused by act or omission of World learning and RF so long as Consultant promptly provides written notice to World Learning of any expected failure or delay and uses all reasonable efforts to avoid and minimize the impact of any such failure or delay.
