| Job Description: |
The incumbent will be responsible to perform the following duties:
• Design, develop and implement various career development initiatives including career seminars, workshops and admission preparation classes for higher education institutions, for students.
• Work closely with the student council at school to identify the educational needs of students and coordinate with school faculty and management to effectively address those needs.
• Provide leadership in the organization of various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at school.
• Track the school alumni and engage them in various school activities through a strong alumni programme.
• Building linkages with educational institutions and professional organizations within and outside Pakistan.
• Developing an internship programme and ensuring placement of AKHSS, Karachi students in the different organization.
• Developing and implementing a school marketing plan and ensuring timely communications of school activities and achievements to stakeholders through various media.

It is one of the largest third-sector networks of educational institutions in Pakistan and part of an international network of over 200 schools spread in 8 countries of the world under the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN).
Reaching out to the remotest areas of the country, AKES,P has been providing quality education in the region for the past 110 years. It is a direct provider of education for nearly 36,000 students from pre-primary to higher secondary levels and facilitates access to higher education through the provision of scholarships, hostels and other educational support services.With more than 2,000 employees, of whom over 1,500 areteachers, AKES,P is also supported by over 2,000 volunteers.
In Gilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, the first AKES,P schools were setup in the 1940s; since then they have contributed significantly toincreasing the literacy rates and social development in theremote, mountainous, harsh and ecologically fragile regions ofNorthern Pakistan. AKES,P currently operates 151 schools inGilgit-Baltistan and Chitral, providing education to over 27,000students, of which 54% are girls. Through these efforts, AKES,Pis continuing to play a critical role in women’s development inthe region.
In the Southern Region, AKES,P operates four schools in Karachi,three in Hyderabad and rural Sindh and one in Hafizabad,Punjab, with over 8,900 students. All AKES,P schools follow theNational Curriculum but place special emphasis on the teachingof English, Mathematics, Science and the increasing use ofInformation and Communication Technologies (ICT).
