Job Description:

Reports to: Director Grants & Partnerships 

Location:  Head Office Islamabad

Position Objective: 

To undertake effective resource mobilization for HDF Pakistan, ensuring that funding gaps are being met for various programmes and projects. He/she will be responsible for generating high value income resources for HDF by strengthening relationships with donors, developing staff capacities, and facilitating linkages between programmes. This role will also look after Sponsorship activities of HDF Pakistan to ensure that all programs and initiatives can be implemented in an effective manner.

Qualification Experience:

  • Master's degree in any Social Sciences/ Development discipline from a recognized institution
  •  Minimum 3 years of experience in relevant capacity.
  • Foundation relationship and grant writing experience.

Responsibilities:

 Grants Development:

i) Identify funding opportunities nationally and globally including private and public foundations, corporations, government agencies, national and international donor agencies that match HDF Pakistan's priorities

ii) Research, write, and submit competitive proposals and supporting documents, with assistance from the management, program teams and the Foundation Development Team, to the identified potential donor agency

iii) Regular follow-up for the approval of submitted proposals

iv) Research and maintain information on donor strategies and funding opportunities on the national level, in conjunction with the Foundation Development Team,

v) Deliver appropriate timely feedback and recognition to donors/supporters, in accordance with HDF's aims, identity, legal and organizational guidelines.

vi) Assist the Program Teams in implementing and continually managing awarded grants to ensure the maximum benefits for HDF and our donors.

vii) Report regularly to the Director Grants & Partnerships on progress against the proposals in hand and organizational objectives

viii) Undertake independent travel across geographical areas as required by the role

ix) Manage archiving of institutional memory of grants and programs.

Partnerships Management:

i) Oversee the implementation of HDF Pakistan partnership strategy

ii) Support program staff in assessing partnership opportunities and ensuring that partnerships reflect HDF Pakistan's strategic objectives and the local context.

iii) Attending National level events and seminars for visibility and recognition of HDF programs

iv) Manage database of current and potential partnerships.
