Key Responsibilities

• Teaching & Instruction:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lectures, practical sessions, and tutorials for undergraduate (BDS) and potentially postgraduate dental students, covering core areas of oral biology (e.g., oral histology, oral embryology, oral physiology, oral pathology, basic sciences relevant to dentistry).

  • Integrate current research findings and clinical relevance into teaching methodologies.

  • Supervise and guide students in laboratory work and assigned projects.

  • Develop and grade assignments, quizzes, and examinations.

  • Provide academic guidance and support to students.

• Curriculum Development & Evaluation:

  • Assist in the design, development, and continuous review of the Oral Biology curriculum, ensuring alignment with national and international dental education standards.

  • Contribute to the selection and development of appropriate teaching materials and resources.

• Research & Scholarship:

  • Initiate and participate in scholarly activities and research projects in Oral Biology or related biomedical sciences.

  • Aim to publish research findings in peer-reviewed national and international journals.

  • Present scholarly work at relevant academic conferences and workshops.

  • Contribute to grant writing efforts to secure funding for research initiatives.

• Service & Administration:

  • Serve on departmental and college committees as assigned.

  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to administrative tasks.

  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in oral biology and dental sciences.
